Foyer is a local‑first macOS app. It does not collect analytics, it has no account system, and your settings never leave your Mac. This policy explains the little that does — and why.
Nothing for analytics. Foyer contains no telemetry, tracking, or analytics SDKs. We do not know when you launch it, what you hide, or how you use it.
License activation. When you activate a purchased license, Foyer sends your license key and an anonymous machine fingerprint to our own license server at foyer.nyrai.ai. The fingerprint is used solely to enforce the 2‑Mac household limit and is not linked to your name, email, or hardware serial in any readable form. After activation, Foyer operates offline with a 30‑day offline grace period.
Update checks. Foyer may ask foyer.nyrai.ai whether a newer version is available, sending only its current version number. You can disable automatic update checks in Settings.
Purchase data. Your purchase is processed by Paddle, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record, who handles payment and any applicable tax. Your payment details are provided to Paddle, not to us; we receive only the order confirmation needed to issue your license. See Paddle's privacy policy for how they handle payment information.
App settings are stored locally on your Mac. License records (key and activation fingerprint) are retained on our license server for as long as the license is active, so we can honor reactivations and the household limit.
You may request deletion of your license records or ask questions about your data at any time by emailing hello@nyrai.ai.
Foyer is a utility for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13.
If this policy changes materially — and especially if we ever intend to add any data collection — we will post notice on this site at least 30 days beforehand, per the Foyer Pledge.
